The Professional Health & Fitness Institute is retiring its certification renewal program.

While the Institute will no longer be monitoring your hours, I hope every one of you keeps going — taking courses, watching others teach, staying curious about a practice that never really runs out of things to teach you. That was always the real point, and it kept us connected.

Thank you. To everyone who came through this program, and especially to those who have been sending me hours for the better part of twenty years: it has been a genuine privilege. This was never a big organization. It was a group of people who cared about doing this well, and that is entirely because of you.

What this means

The Institute will no longer be issuing renewal cards. Your certification does not expire and requires no renewal. There is nothing to send in, no hours to log, and no fee — this year or going forward.

September 1, 2026 — ProHealth is no longer accepting new certifications or re-enrollments.
September 1, 2027 — the Institute retires its monitoring of the certification program.

 

If your studio, landlord, employer, or insurer requires verification

Email prohealth.info@gmail.com and we will send you a Verification of Certification letter on ProHealth letterhead to give them, so no one thinks your certification has lapsed.

 

What ProHealth certification records

ProHealth certification documents that the holder successfully completed the Institute's written and practical examinations in the year issued. The Institute does not review hours, monitor practice, or verify any holder's current competence, and the certification should not be relied upon as doing so. Each certificate holder is responsible for their own practice, judgment, and scope of practice.
